Streaming Connection Diagnostic

Measures bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and jitter, graded against what a live encode needs. Runs entirely in your browser. No signup required for the test.

Connection

Streaming diagnostic

The whole connection in one run: sustained upload and download over parallel streams, latency, jitter and a loss probe, read the way a live encoder uses the link.

Your runs of this tool

Throughput is the median of the final three seconds of a multi-stream run. Upload counts bytes as they leave your browser, and the live resolution grades on upload because live streaming is an upload problem. Latency, jitter and loss are round trips to the test server named above, not to your provider. Loss is the share of probes that did not come back in time: HTTP timeouts, not UDP loss; the UDP probe is a later tool.

What to do next

Test the next thing

That is the full battery. The detail underneath is usually where the actual fault lives.

Packet Loss Test. Measure packet loss in your browser. The #1 cause of stuttering, frozen, and dropped live streams.
